I would like to share with you the last animation I've done with synfig. It was completely done with synfig except the image layer of the scanned paper background and the final montage of the scenes made with cinelerra for simplicity.

The Jedi Knight returns with an animation made in a galaxy far far away

Cool animation Genete. (I Wish I could understand the writing). How long did it take you to put together?

I've been working during 45 days in a rate of 90 minutes per day more or less. Some days more some days less.

The story is basically a narration of what is happening in the animation: "Mr Tiptoe has to go out on tiptoes all the time to do everything but had problems to pick up his red hat. He asked to Mr. Disaster to help him but at the end it was Mr. Jumpy who solved the problem." They are based on the Mr. Men characters except that Mr. Tiptoe is invented. Also it is based on the drawings from a 7 years old child.

I've never seen the Mr. Men show, but really enjoyed the cartoon. I think it would be more interesting with some music and sound effects, especially since children(and some adults) have such short attention spans. Also I was surprised to see how violent it got in the middle. I didn't know you were such a bloodthirsty maniac. Anyway congratulations on finishing your first cartoon! I used to watch stuff like this all the time when I was a kid.

good animation, Genete. I remember the characters, but not on books, in T-shirts (that's how somethings come to Latin America), I have a etch a sketch just because my girlfriend found it in a shop of used toys from U.S.A and gave me it in my birthday.
I remember Don Empinado too, at the old times, when he used to have bones and switches .

It's good to see your creations, and it's good to see more examples of synfig, I hope it become a great alternative.
Technically, I recommend you the animators survival kit. I know it's not actually a new, but it has been so useful for me to understand some things, that, as a friend, I tell you you must buy that book. Really.

@Darth, Thanks. You're right about the music or sounds but no need to sound was a requirement from my "internal" customer. Also I have no idea what music can be proper and also didn't want to be music dependent. What I don't understand is why do you say: "Also I was surprised to see how violent it got in the middle. I didn't know you were such a bloodthirsty maniac". Violent?, bloodthirsty? for the ladder fall and the bump? I don't understand

Believe it, I'm not a great animator nor a good drawer, I only knows very well the program usage so many people could be surprised about my ugly contributions to the animation world.
Thank you for the book recommendation. I sure would learn a lot from it. Now I don't mind if my drawings are good or not, now I only want to learn the animation sense, the "timing".
Don't worry about me and about I forsake this forum or AS. I still enjoying AS and feel comfortable in the forum. It is only a question of love for the opensource. My background with Anime Studio will never be lost. I'll be here helping. .... And making scripts!
