Question about making characters from scratch...

can I make a character on a program like photoshop, and import it and then add the bones and offset the layer. O_O

Yes -- there is even a script to export layers to AS from Photoshop, providing you have version 7 or higher. Search for it on this forum.

Script is already included in Anime studio, just go to install dir and open
E-Frontier\Anime Studio Pro 5.6\Extra Files
copy and paste it in Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 7 or\Presets\scripts\
folder

Don't forget to "make" you character in separate pieces, otherwise you would not be able to animate it successfully.

I have Photoshop 7 and that particular script only works with Photoshop CS. PS 7 didn't have that cool new scripting interface.
