Thank you for your answer,

but

O! please have a heart, I am strugeling with art work as it is. I wan't to convert from a photograph. I can turn it into vector in Adolbe Illustrator
CS 2 with its Auto Trace. So becouse that wont import int AS ProI have then imoprtaed it into Ilustrator CS this imports somthing but its not what I vectorised. Its a lot of jumble.

I also have traced in Photoshop and saving in PNG, that's the best result I have had, IT DOSE look a little like my frunt face. By the way I have instaled the script from my AS, not a great help ether.

If you use auto trace in AI CS 2 you need to save that file to a lower version of Illustrator or EPS. Make sure there are no fill effects in the illustrator file like blends or gradients. Keep it simple. Keep in mind another thing as well, auto tracing will produce A LOT OF POINTS. Importing to AS will just add even more points most likely. AS imports AI and EPS files but it doesn't like the latest greatest newest versions.

That is why the best answer for this is to import the image (png or jpg) into AS and trace it there.

I'm doing some work at the moment using photos for reference for my backgrounds.
Finding tracing photos is giving me pretty good results

All I'm saying is it's worth giving it a try, might give you a good stylised look.
