We are verry entusiastic obout our project aswel as we are reciving loads of greate feedback from metroid fans.
We are looking for a volunteer - 2d animator at least with intermidiate expiriance, whose task will be to work with characters and bringing the m to life ^^. Some of thise animations will have to be based on a template or brief animations prepared by us. Simple animations will be done by me so you will be able to focus on what is importand.
I think that`s a greate oportunity to gain more expiriance, update your portfolio and gain some fame.
looking forward to hear from you! ^^
Please contact me on my e-mail or msn.

I just saw Dsaenz825's work which I assume was rejected for this job.
I just have to say that I think this poster is an ass. You come to this forum for no other purpose than to get someone to do your animation for you for free, and then reject free help? I wonder if you've even seen this software. For a voluteer project, I thought Dsaenz825's work was top notch.
Beggars can't be choosers. Why is it fans always think they can just be production managers and get others to do all of the work for free?
p.s. Sorry if that's a bit harsh.

I should of mentioned this earlier...
I quit because the man is looking for someone to animate (bone rig) some graphics he made. He is not looking for a cartoon animator, just someone to animate his stuff. The man is talented at making game graphics, but he does not explain much about what he wants.

My mistake. None of that was really clear, but it was the posters responsiblity to make it so.
I don't blame you for quiting though. I think a large part of the joy of animating is creating the actual artwork. So it sounds like they only want a rigger. I don't see that as being very rewarding for its own sake.

Hi there,
I see you`ve got quite rough idea about who we are looking for. So let me explein it to you a bit more clearly: we are looking for someone ho will animate characters movements and actions, for the game.
I`m a big fun of animation and animatronic. I`ve bean studieing puppet animation for about a year at university. Also I`ve bean playing around with anime studio for some time. I do know how to make animations.
The reason why we are looking for someone to animate this sprites is to unburden me from it, so i can focus on graphics, music, and game design, not just to to lay back. So sorry if someones fillings where hurt, but that`s how it is. And i still hope that we find who we need. Loads of metroid fans including myself, are waiting for this project.
edit@ i could forgot to mention that most of animation will be made by me, and we need only someone to work with more complex characters.
Regards

First off, I have to fess up to being an absolute Metroid freak and I have to say that screenshot looks absolutely amazing! I can't wait to play it when it comes out. Unfortunately, I'm involved in way too many volunteer projects as it is, so there's no way I could make a full commitment to the project. I'm curious though, are your characters going to be vector or image based? Also, are you going to base the animations off of existing sprites or redesign your own?

hi,
Rudiger@ thanks for good word ^^. every help is needed. even the smallest one. i'm waiting for your replay ^^.
now answaering your question - the character will be image based. thats becouse of the character shadding. but characters build from images, and animated in anime studio are looking verry good.
Some of samus animations are going to be based on the animations from SM, and eventuly new movement design will be developed from that. other movements will be fully custom. I always support good, original ideas.

OK, I'll do it! I just can't say no to the glorious Samus, I guess.

Anyway,, I need to work on my animation skills, and this seems like a good exercise for that.
And megatronx, I got your email containg the body part images. I should be able to start rigging it tonight.
