Hello all!
Still learning AS here, like I said in a previous post, I plan on making a small animation using a character from the "Reine Soleil" movie, the little girl from the first scenes.
The plan is to make her go on her left knee, pickup a vase, put it up on her head while she gets up, turn around then walk away.
Here's a render of the model as I just made it.
Coments or ideas most welcome!

GREAT!

Hello Amin
I drew it but it is taken from the "Reine Soleil" movie, I wanna use it to develop my skills as animator in AS.
Reine Soleil isnt the property of Greykid, I think they made the promotion kit for it and maybe a few scenes in the movie, I am not sure so I might be sadelly mistaken here!

What a great drawing style! It's great to see AS being used to create such beautiful characters. Your character has Greykid written all over it
Nice work GCharb.
Cheers

Thanks DK but like I said, the character is taken from the "Reine Soleil" movie, I just drew it from a scene of the movie, thought it'd be great to learn animating in AS.
The only credit I can take is of being able to recreate it with AS tools.
My goal here is to develop my skills to go way beyond the cutout way of animating.
One of the things I am trying to do right now is to find a way to modify a switch layer drawing in the camera view without changing the original switch layer.

Hi GCharb
Not sure I follow you there?

I see DK rubbering his hands together thinking on a new AS technique...
GCharb, to imitate GK animation style you have to place only a few bones (for big movements) and do several point motion. There is not other trick.

LOL
Well, mostly, what I have in mind is to create a basic animation with switch and then tweak it in the main window.
Say I have a character setup with side, 3/4 and front pose, I setup a switch for each at frames 10 - 15 - 20 for a partial head turn.
Is it possible to use point motion to do some inbetweens?

I've seen you asking same question on other thread about the switch layer.
A switch layer is just a easy way to set the visibility of a layer. When you select a layer to switch it just makes it visible and the others not. ONLY if both layers have the same exact number of points the switch is done interpolating form one to other layer. Bur remember: only point motion is interpolated.
And yes, you can add point motion between one pose and other to do the in-betweens from one pose to other. Bur remember: next time you use that "tweened" pose you obtain the last pose you stated, so you have to restore the original pose by using the "Reset all points" from the Draw menu.
