Now that's some 3D modeling that I may actually enjoy. Thanks for sharing that.

Why, may I ask, Wes?
Not that I have any time nowadays for any more 3D work, but I'm just curious as to why you think this would be more enjoyable than some other approach.

Downloaded it. Doesn't run, just crashes to a reboot.

I'm sorry it didn't work. I was able to downloaded it, install the program, run the activation program and it works a treat (Win XP Pro, SP2, AMD Athlon X2 4400, 2GB ram, geforce 7900 GS)
Its a metaball modeller that generates 3d from drawing lines on each 3D plane. Very similar to
ShapeShop - a freeware alternative that is developing nicely.
Oh well, I only mentioned it as it was free (briefly)...

A lot of people reported problems but it did install and run okay for me.
I've used TONS of 3D modelers and three or four based on similar principles to this, but I'll see (assuming I have anything approaching time) if it makes any sense to me. But it certainly didn't hurt to post the heads up here, so thanks.

Mike,
Any 3D modeler that does away with hunting up 'extrude' and 'bevel' commands seems much more creative to me. I've tried my hand at several (3DSMax, Blender, etc), and just couldn't get past the very 'regimented' modeling. This creates 3D shapes based on contour lines drawn in each view. Much more free flowing and creative I think.
Duey,
I read all of the problems in the comments, so it got me wondering. So I uninstalled my working install and varied the install. And I got some of the screwy results some of those people did.
This seems to be the trick. Install and launch when it asks you to. Immediately close it, and run the 'Activate.exe'. Reopen and enjoy.
