You might be getting confused.

I just did a quick Google for 'free java compose music' -you can try other permutations like 'free java synth' or 'compose music online' etc- and found these that might be of some use.

http://www.synthzone.com/softsyn.htm
http://www.freebyte.com/music/
http://www.seeingwithsound.com/javoice.htm

lots more. Don't forget to check out the freeware sites like nonags.com etc

You can try Notepad, a very watered down version of Finale:

http://www.finalemusic.com/notepad/index.asp

If you are on Linux, you can try Noteedit:

http://noteedit.berlios.de/

or Rosegarden:

after i tried many freeware programs on audio i only can recommend to purchase protools, logic, cubase etc.

witch these programs i find it really graceful to create sound.

it shall feature vst-libraries, because there is nice free vst-stuff out there in the web and mainly worth the dl.

grrrr.....mr.blaaa
