Audio Troubles

Is anybody familiar with Adobe Audition 3.0? That is what I am using for my audio editing. I have sucessfully made wav files for my characters dialog and the background sound effects and music but the session that they are all in is not a wav file. What do I do? How do other animators incorporate the background music or sound effects with the vocals all at once on ASP.

Most folks putting together all but the most simple animations will use a video editor, like Adobe Premiere or even Microsoft Movie, and bring the audio and visual components together there.

G'day from Australia.

What you need to do when in Multitrack view is

File
Export
Audio Mix Down
choose Windows PCM (Xwav*,bwf) as the file type

and there you go.

It would be great if you could post part of your animation. I would love to see it with the Audtion stuff you have done.

Best wishes and hooroo for now.

Paul.

Thanks for the tip but I tried it out and it still did not work. It only mixed down one track. . See, I have my background sound effects on track 1, my vocals on track 2, and the music on track 3. I need all the tracks mixed down together as one wav file. If I combine everything into one track the sounds cancel each other out and I want everything to be heard together. Can that be done?

Hello.

Sorry that you are still having problems.

I mixed down two tracks without a problem.

You are right. The mixdown becomes one track, which then has to be saved as a WAV file. The mixed track should definitely have all the tracks from the multitrack.

When you Export Audio MixDown under Mix Down Options, do you have Source Master selected?

Paul.
