See screen grab When I move the upper arm bones the face distorts. Please tell me what I'm doing wrong. Thanks. I tried manual binding but still have the problem.

Place your arms on different layers.

Or stay on the same layer and go to the tutorial on binding points, read the Manually binding of points. The short version:

Make a shape. Use the Bind Points tool (i) to each bone that you select right after.
