Fixes for scripts

Hello all.

Firstly, hats off to all who have brought us ASP 6. I'm eagerly awaiting for the day I can purchase my upgrade so I can not only work on the best creative tool I've ever used but also so I can read more to-and-fro conversations about why the new version is great or why it sucks.

I have one big request, mainly from you Vern. Any chance of updating your scripts so they work on ASP 6? I'd love it if you'd focus on...

aim_bone.lua
hv_copyflipbones
hv_bonerenamer

(Why focus on these? Because they're not only truly awesome scripts but they're also the main ones I use!!!)

Many thanks!!!

Yes, I'm actually working on some of those right now, along with some other tool scripts. I really really really need my bone renamer script! Now that AS 6 can copy paste bones in the application this is a VERY handy script.

You should keep an eye on Mkelly's really cool script for uniform scaling of bone rigs. It's WAY better than my "copyflip bones" for "scaling" a rig. Instead of scaling the bones when they are copied you scale the bone layer and the script applies the layer scale to the bones and resets the layer (What a great idea. I never thought of trying that!). You could still use my script for copying and flipping bones.

Mkelly's script topic should be in the script section of the forum.

Hey, Vern.

I know you're busy but are there any ETAs on aim_bone? Get that up and running and I'm sure that there will be a significant group of people on this forum who'll love you forever!!

Working as hard as I can.

My new site is under construction. It will be soooo much easier for me to have a script download section there. Easier to put everything in an organized easy to navigate structure.

Don't worry, all the scripts will be free! ;)

I may not get all the "old" tools fixed at once but will be putting them up as I get them done. When you guys sign up it will even send out emails when I post new tutorials or scripts on my site.

I'm so excited my head might explode. ;) I've always wanted a cool web site like this.

No solid ETA. These things always take more time than you expect. I would like to have it launch "next week". Even if it isn't "100%" totally "done". I am trying to stop being the perfectionist.

p.s. Someone on the forum is going to yell at me so much for talking about this... "Don't make promises Vern! Keep it a secret till it's ready!" he has told me over and over... <sigh> ;)

I should have signed an "NDA"... with myself... but that sounds kind of dirty if you ask me. ;)
