AS Debut 6 Export Crash

I have read just about every post on this forum about the crashes and such, but have yet to find anything that can help me.
Whenever I try to export my animation it will get a frame in (sometimes less) and crash the program.
I can export in flash, but it does not include all the layer effects and the pre-made explosion included in the program.
I have it set to 1- 300 frames, and have tried to export less, just to see if perhaps I can do at least 3sec animation, but so far nothing.
I have tried updating codecs, and turning down all of the setting to bare minimum but it still crashes, the only thing I have not tried is exporting in a batch. Simply cause I don't know how.
I am running Win XP, BTW. This is why I couldn't be bothered with other posts, cause everyone else seems to be using macs for this.

Also there are no error codes involved either, I start up the export and then I get the little window that says "anime studio failed"

I'd really like to get this working because I really enjoy this program.

Batch mode isn't available in Debut, so that isn't an option in this case, anyway.

Can you export other files? Try creating a new file and just draw a basic rectangle and export that. If it works fine, there may be something in your specific file that's triggering a bug. If that seems to be the case, send your .anme file to support@lostmarble.com.

You mentioned trying different codecs - which codecs exactly are you using? Are you exporting to QuickTime or AVI? I'd strongly recommend QuickTime. If you don't have it yet, or have an older version, you can download the latest QuickTime for free from here:

An update on my crash

So I updated my quicktime, which as far as I am aware has not effected anything really, but I tried the rectangle and it worked, in basic Mpeg4, so I then tried again with my little animation, and still crash. I then removed the explosion thinking maybe this was freaking out my sysytem, still crash. So I made a new project just using Lenny from AS5 cause he is who I was using in the first project. I made him walk on screen and wave and it exported fine.. then I added the background of desert from AS5 and exported.. Crash. So I am going to go ahead and assume that it was the background that causes this, I'm going to try other backgrounds to see if perhaps all of them from 5 do it.

As for the codecs, I read somewhere that people were using divx so I figured I would use the newest of it, which I guess I won't need now that the mpeg4 is working fine.

Thank you for the reply, I will keep you posted about the crashes, I think I am going to just go down the list of stuff from 5 to see which ones will crash it. I don't know if that will help you out any on working on updates or something, but maybe it will help other people with my same problem.

Can you email me your .anme file? For whatever reason, the desert background is working fine for me, so I'd like to try your file and see if that crashes.

Hi I might just butt in and say that I've noticed some curly issues in the last couple of days with QT , it's normallly reliable -.
I suggest this might have more to do with a recent windows update or some other issue as it seems to be systemwide in various guises (some old renders from other apps won't play now) but gave me BSOD using the APRO6 demo.
I hope this gets rectified with QT and windows updates , I really like QT.
FIngers crossed- not very scientific.... :?
