I can't export animation to SWF format on ASP 5.6, the progress bar appears, the HD spins but no file are written!
If I do the same thing on version 5.5 all go fine...
WHAT HAPPENING? I'VE JUST INSTALLED WIN XP ONLY TO USE ASP 5.6 AND NOW DON'T WORK!
HELP ME!

When you have your heart set on going forward, it can be hard to step backward, but this is what you have to do. Make a copy of your Anime Studio file, and start stripping out one layer at a time, trying to export a swf each time. Eventually you will get to the point where you can export a Flash format file. Then you have to slowly go forward again, adding one layer at a time, and testing each time. This will show you where the problem lies.

It probably isn't what you want to hear, I know. Try to think of it as defusing an unexploded bomb. If you run around with your hair on fire you are not going to solve this problem.

I've tried one simple shape (A circle) with a simple plain fill: No SWF file.
I've tried one complex shape (A car) with gradient fill: No SWF file.
I've also tried with a imported PNG image (Without morphing, incompatible with ASP flash)... Result? No SWF file.
The problem don't lies in the animation file...
The SWF file will NEVER been created, I' don't know why it happens...

Try exporting to a different folder, or drive. It might be a system issue, like folder permissions or something.

Wow. That really does sound very basic. If you can reproduce the problem (sounds like you can), log this as a problem in the BUGS section. Try to list your version of Windows, as many details of the computer as you can, and a step-by-step sequence of how to reproduce the problem. The only remaining thing I can think of is that this is a corrupted installation. Try uninstalling it, and then re-installing. Other than that, I've never seen this, so I'm afraid I can't help any further.

Thanks a lot! Your suggestion helped me solve the problem.
After the installation os the SP2 I've tried again exporting to another drive and the file was created!
ASP can't export flash on shared drives... Remember that!

Issues like this one often happen when the filepath and/or filename contains non-English characters. Especially when you’re working on a localized Windows – e.g. Russian Windows XP has Russian names for default system folders like “Desktop”, or “My Documents”, “New folder”, etc.. The solution is simple – always use only English letters for all the files Anime Studio works with (including sound files too). I’m not sure that this is the reason in your case, but it will be helpful for many users.
