Arms to the Body

I have my character all the way drawn out and rigged. So for this character in the front view I have taken the upper section of the body (where the arms would go) and hidden the lines, so that the arms could go with the body without lines showing, so the arms and the body look like they are connected, HOWEVER.... I completed the first character like this without any problems and now, I start creating the next character (using the other character, and changing the face, hair etc.) and I change the color of the shirt from yellow to purple, and there is a bright line in the space where there should be no lines where the body and arms connect . I created another Layer above the torso layer and traced over the shirt and deleted the previous shirt layer, but the problem still exists. - Thank you for helping because I'm
very frustrated......

This is a known issue of anti-aliasing. If you have more than one shape sharing same construction curve the shapes blends and produce that thin line in the shared edges (and so you can see the edge of the shape below). Try to remove the unneeded shapes (the old ones from the previous character)
Remember that you can select hidden shapes by the keyboard. See the tutorials.
Also check the forum with other threads about this issue.

Hmm. I guess what you could do is render out the animation at twice the size of your original intended size, then when you downsample in another application like iMovie or After Effects, or you could even bring the movie back into AS and render it out at smaller size, then when you bring the size down for final output that irritating line should disappear.
Try this - render out a small frame using preview and you'll see the line. Then increase the project size to something bigger, say, twice PAL size, and render out a frame, then in Photoshop or something decrease the pitcure size by half or 3 quarters and you should see the line disappear.
Okay I will try your ideas.
