Hi,

in Anime Studio 5.4 (formerly Moho) I can setup the display quality in main window:

Where I can setup this in 5.5 or 5.6?

Thanks!

The main window of Anime Studio 5.4 (Moho)

The main window of Anime Studio 5.5 (normal version, not Pro)

Display Qualitiy is no additional feature in my eyes. Display Qualitiy is an essential setting to customise the performance...
It seems that removing of functions to split in Normal and Pro version was arbitrary and blindfold... :(

5.6 has the display settings at the exact same place.

Why dont you upgrade your anime studio version?
Get the 5.6 version.

-Open Anime Studio.
-Click on Help window.
-Click on check for updates, its just right there.

Like Slowtiger said the display quality options are in the same place in anime studio 5.6.

Moho is PRO not standard. So when you moved to AS from Moho you downgraded to non PRO for some reason. I think that when there were the free Moho->AS upgrade the Moho licenses were assimilated to PRO.
You're on time to upgrade correctly I think.

I see no differences between version 5.5 and 5.6.

OK, the story:

Many years I worked with the last demo of Moho 5.4. The only constraint was a watermark on exported images and movies. Now, I buyed an older Anime Studio (version 5.5 respectively 5.6) to export, finally. But I was shocked, that not all features are included. My mistake: I have not noticed, that now 2 versions (Normal and Pro) are available.

A little solace: I can export my old Moho 5.4 projects with the newer Anime Studio 5.5. Both programs using the same file version 14:

Code: Select all

Moho 5.4 (*.moho)
application/x-vnd.lm_mohodoc
version 14
### Created in Moho version 5.4, © 1999-2006 Lost Marble
...

Code: Select all

Anime Studio 5.5 (*.anme)
application/x-vnd.lm_mohodoc
version 14
### Created in Moho version 5.5, © 1999-2006 Lost Marble
...
I hope this is not illegal. Using the full set of features in Moho 5.4 demo and export without watermark in Anime Studio 5.5....
Don't worry! I will keep an eye out for the Pro version...

Yea,

you can switch-on the transparency in Debut version. Open your setting file (Anime Studio Debut6.0.user.settings) and change the value "QualityFlags" from "1662" to "1790".

A little python code to calculate the flag:

Code: Select all

from math import *

# "QualityFlags"	"1662" after install

checkbox = [
0 , # Fast Buffer (don't work, automatically reset to 0 at start)
1 , # Construction curves (don't work, automatically reset to 1 at start)
1 , # Fills               (don't work, automatically reset to 1 at start)
1 , # Outlines            (don't work, automatically reset to 1 at start)
1 , # Images              (don't work, automatically reset to 1 at start)
1 , # Smooth Images (YES, you can switch it in Debut!!!)
1 , # Masking (YES, you can switch it in Debut!!!)
1 , # Transparency (YES, you can switch it in Debut!!!)
0 , # Antialiasing        (don't work, automatically reset to 0 at start)
1 , # Brushes             (don't work, automatically reset to 1 at start)
1 ] # Shaded fills (YES, you can switch it in Debut!!!)

QualityFlags = 0
for index in range(len(checkbox)): QualityFlags += checkbox[index] * (2 ** index)
print QualityFlags

Lebostein, that's a brilliant hack, thanks. I did think the feature split between Standard and Pro was just about perfect... but the default image presentation was pretty low quality, which was a shame for Standard's cutout orientation. Cheers, Nick.
