Whats the best way to use bones in Hair for a character

Hi i want to make my characters hair move and flow like it would in anime cartoons or any cartoon really.
IS using the bones in anime studio the best way to do this?
I tryed it but i couldn't get it flow with out the bones making the hair bend in a silly shape.
Another thing when you make your characters hair should i have it on the same vector layer as the head?
Please help me out not sure what to do, thanks again in advance.

You could try the bones all on one layer, the hair and body etc all in one vector layer. Use point binding to tie sections of geometry to specific bones. Then use dynamics on the hair bones (you'll need to tweak the settings a bit, but that will help you get your head around bone dynamics, so that's good.) Then put a little movement on the body or say the neck for example, just something subtle like head moves during dialogue, to test your hair. Keep tweaking the dynamics settings (You can keep the dynamics setting window open and select different bones to adjust their settings.)
Edit: PS, dude, while your avatar is cool in itself, sitting next to your post it made my eyes water while I was trying to read your post. I couldn't read the post right through, but got the idea enough to figure I could reply. It was only in the post edit window, where there was no avatar, that I could read your post properly.

Well i made this some time ago and i used bones for the hair animation but its very simple.You should make the hair in a different layer form the rest of the body.

that is it something like that cause that was perfect.
the thing is when i put the bones in the hair tends to go over the place can't for the one part with out everything titling to the side.
