I wonder if anyone has thoughts on the overal merits of image-text against AS vector-text?
Render times?
Movie size?
Images are more easily edited.
Vector text sharper? At the moment I am only working at 320x240 *.flv so see no obvious difference.

My thoughts vacillate hither and yon and then back round to the coffee machine and then further discombobulate and then... I take a nap. Various conclusions float in and out. I would be interested in yours.

I don't trust AS' text tool because it often produces wrong shapes, and I don't have real typesetting tools. Instead I create my text in Photoshop and import it as images.

AS 6 has very much improved text and AI/EPS conversion. Text is 10 times better now then previously in my opinion.

However... the big drawback to text in AS is the performance hit with all of those points if you have a lot of text. If you have a small amount of text I think using AS text will work... DEPENDING ON THE FONT! Some fonts are RIDICULOUSLY complex and will produce a tremendous amount of points. The concern for me is not the point count but readability and maintaining the original shape for certain letters as close as possible. I think AS 6 is much better at this.
