I find this topic really interesting.. This is what I do and it seems to work very well; I have a switch layer that has 4 stages, Firstly what I do is I put a group layer in the switch layer called "Stage 1" and I put two vector layers in the group layer, one of the layers is the eye ball and the pupil(bottom layer) and the other layer contains the eye lid. What you want to do is make sure that the eye lid moves to the middle of the eye, there should be two parts of the eyelid if you notice how the eye closes, so just make sure that you don't just have one eyelid closing all the way down. On stage 1, your going to want the eye all the way open, on stage two your going to want the eyelids to be visible and starting to shut the eye, Do this one more time and then make the eye completely shut. I hope this bit of information was helpful, I found this technique very useful, I'm also going to experiment with closing the eyes manually in a group layer.. There is also another technique that I found very.. Awesome.. It was made by HeyVern on this forum, so maybe he could tell you how it was done.. Its on the link --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIizjus-zC0 Vern is truly awesome..
