time sure does fly when you are animating...

you hear that saying about time flying when you are having fun... but it also applies to animating! or really anything else that is work related that you can get into...

people say just a few seconds is ages in animation... maybe so in real life... but when you are animating... it does not seem to take long at all!

I was working on a show that I am planning to have done by the end of the year, and I was working on two of the last scenes of the first episode... (its not that long of an episode... just a few minutes...) and the last time I remember looking at the clock I think I remember seeing 10pm... then when I got it all done (still needs to do touch up... but you know how it goes...) I looked at the clock and it said 1am!!!! I was like, AHH!! what happened to my time!!! it might just be me though... *cough* *doubts* *cough*

at least its friday... and I have an excuse to stay up late tonight haha...

so yeah... thats the story of my time... drained into AS... all those hours of my life... that I won't get back...

....

well, at least they are not wasted! and if nobody likes the show, at least I learned a lot!

so my question is, how often do you loose track of time in your animation work?

thanks for reading, Trey Rust.

I couldn't believe how much time it takes. My first roadblock was understanding how in principal/theory, then "how" in terms of what you click, which command, and in what order.

But the "reward" in learning how to do it, is that it takes soo much time.

Then remember that AS is drawing all the inbetweens, how the heck did people animate before this type of software?

I'm finding it harder to get motivated given the huge amount of time involved.

Yup! Time flies when your having a good time, an eternity for the painful times.
