keyframe audio levels

I want the audio from a video clip to mute for a few frames, also to lower the volume for a few frames but I can't find any documentation for ASP on how to do so.
Under layer setting for audio, far right tab. You can change the volume. 1 normal, 0 off. A key of 0 on frame one and one at the frame just before the volume comes back. Then one more key of 1 at the start of the sound.
