Hi -

I've rendered a movie with antialiasing turned ON and it doesn't appear to have any effect - can I fix this?

thx

You mean that under the Export Animation dialog you have 'Antialiased Edges' turned on? I've never had that problem (except for some tests with 3D models and minor aliasing issues.

Very weird.

Yes, it's turned on.

If you render a single frame, does it look jagged too, or is it just the QuickTime version? If you only see it in the QuickTime version, then it could be an artifact of the compression. Try different codecs or a higher quality setting.

If that's not the case, could you post a link to the Moho file itself? Something funny must be going on here, because that's particularly bad and shouldn't be that way.

Actually, sometimes I get it, sometimes I don't...

In the animations where the jaggies occur, any particular frame that's rendered appears the same way.

Strangely, as I am trying to reproduce the problem.. I can't! :) So who knows?

I'll keep trying..

thx

Is the object in the demo video drawn in Moho or imported? If it is imported, what kind of format? Have you checked the number of colors in the export settings?

Hi Reindert -

Imported, Adobe Illustrator 8, RGB.

Ok, I don't use AI myself but many others here do. Have you ever had those jagged edges with Moho drawn objects? Try creating an object like you have now for instance, this time using the Moho drawing tools.

And can you verify the exact output settings, if by some reason the render would be in only 2 colors for example there aren't any colors to antialias with. So please check the color depth.

Good luck,

Reindert.
