No vectors showing/can't add bones, please help!

When I use Anime Studio, no vector points appear, it draws the image, but I can't manipulate it and can't add bones. WTF?

I recommend take a look on the tutorials. It seems a problem which is covered there. If then you still having problems, go back to the forum and we will help you.

i already browsed the software tutorials and help, no dice, it just jumps into using vectors w/o answering my question.
if someone has the answer i would really appreciate it

In Anime Studio, manipulate things (like bones, vector points, etc) is possible after both conditions are satisfied:
1) Have the correct layer selected.
2) Have the correct tool enabled.
Please check both things in your situation. You problem can have several causes and nobody here will give you any proper reply if you don't provide more information (screen shots specially).

The correct layers are selected, and the correct tool is used. In fact, no matter what tool I use it will not convert the path to vectors. Even squares have no little vector boxes!

By any chance are you working with a raster image? AS does not convert raster to vector.

Hmm...go to DISPLAY QUALITY near the bottom right, click it and make sure PATHS is checked.

hey, thanks for all the replies
it turns out the boxes for the vectors were there, just invisible, as well as the bones. I think it was a bad CD so i borrowed my friends for the time being and it works fine
