Anime Studio audio waveform issue (Mac)

Happy new year everyone...

I did a quick check and couldn't find this covered in the forum so apologies if this is a well known issue.

Does anyone else using Anime Studio Pro 5.6 on the Mac (Leopard) find that the audio waveform graphic doesn't render across the entire timeline? The sound's fine, but the graphic seems to stop (on the animation I'm currently working on) at frame 1389.

Usually, I'd do the animation in chunks and re-sync it in a video editing program, but the current animation I'm doing requires a seamless 'one take' from beginning to end, and I don't want to try and patch it together afterwards.

I could listen for the beats (it's a music video) but I find it a lot easier to see the peaks on the waveform for sharper edits.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks in advance

Alex

Confirmed.

In AS 5.6 on Mac OS 10.4 it happens as well, on any random position after about 45 seconds, no matter wich fps the project was set to.

Phew - not just me doing something stupid then!

Does anyone know if there's a patch that can get round this, or is a paid upgrade to version 6 the only fix?

Been using the program for many years, but never tried to produce a feature length anim on it, so only just discovered this bug.

Oh - and can I add my name to the users who found that fix for the Mac rendering crash bug very helpful - thanks Lost Marble!
