The files are from the same version of anime studio that I am using - 5.5

We are three guys who share .anme files with each other and one day after downloading files from one user, mine just started giving me this message:
Error. Could not open file. This was created using a newer version of moho and can not be opened by anime studio 5.5"

Today it happened again from the other user's file. HOWEVER,

The other a.s users I get files from have not changed their programs nor have they updated. Each of us is using default Pro 5.5

Someone please help, as we have a job to finish, and I may be left doing it by myself!

It's appreciated!!

Open the file in a text editor. If you find this:

Code: Select all

application/x-vnd.lm_mohodoc
version 15
### Created in Moho version 5.6, © 1999-2008 Lost Marble
then some strange bug is there. Re install the software.

If you find this or similar:

Code: Select all

application/x-vnd.lm_mohodoc
version 19
### Created in Moho version 6.1, © 1999-2009 Smith Micro Software, Inc.
Then one of your friends is using a file created by that version.

If you want use that file you can change the version number in the file header.
Many times I used newer version file in this way.
The only trouble are the commands of newer version of the software... You can solve this problem deleting the row indicated by the error message, I use Notepad+ that have the row number on the left.
After deleting the bad rows, the file can be opened, but often there are some "trouble" as leaks or missing effects.
