In the File Menu go to Project Settings and change the End Frame for your animation.

AS6

In AS6 you can also change the time by going to the second box right above the word timeline in the timeline and put in how many frames you need - where as mine may say "Frame 0 of 240" I just put the number of frames I'll need in the last box and wallaa bigga hope this helps.

On the blue space on timeline, just where the frame numbers are, you can define the duration of the animation using alt+right click for the end and alt+left click for the start.

Another tip is to put 0 (zero) as end frame on projects settings, this way your animation duration will be flexible and the end will depend of the last keyframe you insert.

Oh wow thanks selgin - so making it 0 as an end fram will auto set the total frames depending on when the last Key was.

problem with time line

Post by swangray »

i am making a music video and I have tried to change the time line to include the whole song however I try to change the time line and it won't go pass 3000. I need to get it to at least 6000. Why won't it let me change the time line pass 3000? Please help! Thank you much

Non PRO versions have limited timeline to 3000 frames. Anyway do a decent animation in a single file with more than 3000 frames is crazy for any kind of software. Cut it in smaller scenes.
