Some cool animation. Looks like it could be done with AS Pro:

It's certainly a very tired cliche -- work has to be very inventive to rise above the genre's limitations.

I kinda posted it for the purpose of looking at the design and the animation, not so much for the genre.

For an animator all animation is good to observe, you may find a timing, a technique, an editing fashion. You may also observe an undesired element.

er... I don't like what happens to the guy's wife in that one.

edit: oh wait. are we talking about technique or story?

Yeah! Toonertime, you should warn that it's... um... weird?

I got a laugh from it, from how it was so outrageous.

By the way link needs to be fixed.

Now that's what I call animation! Good funny (yet serious) story, nice style, and funny movements! (Of course I'm referring to Once upon a time in my wife.)

Hello all!

I must admit that made me laugh(the wife animation).

lwaxana, this is just animation, I see it as an image of how man can want children sometimes even though woman do not, which happens often, a parody of that situation.

I love the style of it very much.

Don't get me wrong. It made me laugh, too. Even the second time I watched it. But it also gave me a "I made myself sad" moment when it sunk in what I was laughing at.

This may be part of the director's intent; it brings you into the psychology and motives of the husband, and makes you forget your own motives and values for a moment. And as the husband pushes it further and further, your own values are more likely to protest, bringing about a sort of awakening. But of course, I have no idea what the director's intent really was. :)

That's why I was careful to say that I didn't like what happened to his wife rather than that I didn't like the story.

Oh well then, if we are going to post our favorite animations.

It's a bit riske but just the right amount, however...
