How do I import a psd file, ready to animate, into Anime Studio pro 6? I'd rather not have to save all the different images(eyes, mouths ect.) individually and import them all seperately.

There is a Photoshop script "Export Layers To Anime Studio.jsx" which will export images in separate layers to an Anime Studio switch layer, containing separate layers. It comes with the AS installation, in the Extra Files folder. Saves a lot of heartache. Your Photoshop must be version 7 or higher.

Ah, yes, I found it! But... how do I use it exactly? I apologize for being a bother ^^;

You copy the file to Program Files/Adobe/Photoshop CS/Presets/Scripts (or similar -- depends on your version of Photoshop and where you put it). Next time you fire up Photoshop, look in File|Scripts -- the script should be right there. Click on it to export all your layers into an AS file switch layer. If I remember correctly, Photoshop will create an Anime Studio file for you as well.

Here on forum (I don't remember exactly where) someone posted a link to a japanese software which export psd to anime studio without the need of open or have installed photoshop (personally I work with corel photopaint and sai to edit and generate psd files).

It creates an anme file and a folder with all the png images, it even remember the blend layer mode and it's like ten times faster than the official photoshop script.

The only problem is it creates a corrupted anme file which can't be opened on AS. But, wait, it can be solved easyly. I discovered you must open the anme file on notepad or similar and replace all the "," characters for "." then save it and now it's completely functional.
Very easy and fast.

In ASpconv you can even combine two or more psd files in one, add png images and move the layers. I just love this little fast software.

download it from here

PD: it's the copy paste of an old post I made, anyway, it has the info I think you need.
