I am trying to fade in and out a scene. I went into layer settings and changed the opacity to fade in out slowly but it does not have any effect on the layer. It still continues to have 100% opacity. I don't understand what the problem is and why the opacity doesn't change when I change the percentage. Canyou help me Please!!!
When I try to ease in and out on the timeline and it also doesn't show? What am i doing wrong?

It might only show up when rendered? Test that.

When u get to the part on the timeline, hit preview and see if its doing what u want.

Your opacity issue: it's in the user guide under "Allow Animated Layer Effects."

Your ease in/out issue: those keyframe changes happen at the subsequent keyframe, not the keyframe you apply them to. I'm not sure what the logic is for that, but if you want something to ease in/ease out at your third keyframe, apply the ease in/ease out to keyframe two, not keyframe three.
