Could you help me?

I have ATI 5770 card and VIEWSONIC VG2021wm.

I have windows 7 64 bits

I download the last drivers for ATI and VIEWSONIC.

I cant´t set the 1680X1050 resolution.

Any suggestion.

Does the monitor support that resolution? I have a HD TV as my monitor and the best I can use is 1084 x 768. If i go any higher i get blue screen with message saying "format not supported.

Also, I think the tech guy i talked to said i needed a better cable from my PC to my monitor. I am using HDMI but he said i needed a higher quality one to support better resolution.
