Fast, gory, meaningful, beautifully designed - and made with AS. I wonder if he is a member of this forum? If so, I'd like to ask him about some details.

The music video is really good! I like the hopping penguin and the three eyed frog.

Maybe it was the music on the showreel but it seems like good ol classic cartooning. I like the style a lot.

Nice Skills Jurjen

That was absolutely awesome! Love it, the characters were great, fantastic use of camera angles/zooms etc. Too cool 8)

spammy f**ers...

...anyway - great! love the characters, especially the "givitome" jumping penguin :D

Some really great animation here, the elephant squishing the cars and the fox stood out for me :)

Pretty funky tune too.

Seen that Vid before and its blatantly awesome.

The showreel is very impressive, lots of styles but all a joy to watch.
Every now and then I start to think that AS is only good for cutout animation and then I see something like this (and others). So fluid, cameras, action, stretch..the lot.. greats stuff..

..I;m sure you don't need me to tell you that as your clients will be saying that after every job.

inspiring.
Sven

LOL, loved it, thank you slowtiger for the link.

SvenFoster, AS is a cut-out animation software, but with so many twist that you can make cut-out come alive. Also depends on the talent of the artist of course, but so many great clips are made with it, like this one!

Yesterday evening I saw a really good short done in a hybrid cutout-FBF-fashion. It was done in Toonboom Harmony, but would've been possible in AS easily. Unfortunately it's not online, it's a commissioned spot for german TV.

I need to experiment with his solution: using a skeleton and cutout parts for the body, but FBF hands and faces. Those could be incorporated either as video snippets, or as switch layers.

Now I would like to see that.

Of course TBH is better suited for fbf, but Animate still can manage very good animation with the tool set it has.

Of course the devil is in the detail.

I've learnt a lot just from these forums and before here I thought that everything would look like south park and that was it.

I've gleaned loads of tips from observing here things that hadn't crossed my mind such as using point animation to enhance/fix the bone animation and deforming it. loads and loads of things...

Without a goal or focus its easy to get sucked into little "tests" etc.. thats my problem but I know that is how I learn.. proof of concepts.

and back to the vids..
things like this (and all the other guys and gals that are generous with their time and knowledge) set the bar... Its great inspiration but Id love to nail my own style and be happy with it... ;)
