Hmm... that's interesting.

I have an image in a scene of mine. I sheared it so it's on an angle and placed it over a tv I created. Now everytime I move the camera or even the parent layer the image shears with the layer/camera. How do I stop this from happening?

You can't. The shear is in 3 dimensions, so it always will look different every time you move the camera.

Trick: render 1 frame where the sheared image looks good, import this bitmap instead of the sheared one. All will be good.

If you use the Orbit button (key 9), you will see why you can't.

Or you could go to project properties and uncheck enable 3D camera. But then your shear might not look the way you want it either. At least it won't move your shear when the camera moves.

can you use the 'shear points' tool at the top instead of the shear layer tool? that way it won't actually turn it in 3D space?

Not been around in a while, greets Slow/Rhoel/Mikdog - hope all is good :)

funks: with vectors, yes. But he was asking for an image layer.
