Follow path is an awesome simple feature on AS 7.
Playing with water (topic about I promise to make a tutorial) and a little ship is very easy to get a convincing landscape really fast.

check this swf

and the anme file here

I just love this little things of AS7 :D

Thats a convincing water effect, it works very well, good job and keep posting more AS7 tests.

try using physics to simulate water!

You create a chain of horizontal bones... lots of bones. Set the layer to rotate on origin. Select the last bone in the chain and lock the tip using the bone physics tool.

Put a "bumpy" non moving vector layer shape under the bone layer so the bones are above it slightly. Run physics.

The bone chain is connected at both ends like a "jump rope". Make sure it has some slack in it so it can move. When the bone chain falls and hits the non moving layer it bounces and falls... bounces and falls... creating a fun rippling water effect. Tweak the density and and bounciness of the bone layer physics. Try reducing the gravity.

Well... I'm in a pickle. Apparently one of the betas along the way "improved" physics so my water ripple trick no longer works as expected. It should still work but I have to experiment to get the right set up. Originally the bones would bounce like crazy continuously against the non moving layer underneath. Now the bones behave normally and settle and stop.
