A while ago I made a short called 'Beatboxing Dave' in Anime Studio Pro:

Decided to do some more. I made this one in Toon Boom Animate. Getting my head around the software a bit. Great to be able to draw and move stuff around in the same package:

The characters are very funny.
Toon Boom gives you a different brush style, but I prefer the Anime Studio syle. :D

The animation is very beautyful.

Thanks.

I should mention that for the AS version I drew everything in Photoshop first. I prefer drawing in Photoshop, Toon Boom's like a medium between what I want for drawing tools and what I'd like for animation tools. If I could draw like Photoshop within Anime Studio, that'd just floor me and I think I would be a pretty content animator with a toolset that'd suit me pretty well.

Ha ha. Well, thanks though I wouldn't call the animation beautiful, the second one was animated @ 6 frames per second. The sting and end bits were 25 fps though. Music made in GarageBand. Real homebrew thing.

Nice one! The voice acting is awesome. Is that all you? Love the Passive-Agressive-Steve character. :D Looks like he's gotten a little frumpier since the last episode! ;) The weird relationship dynamics really make these shorts compelling.

Thanks. Yep, that's my voice. Busy uploading the second episode. Taking some time with my connection.

Beatboxing Dave's face is becoming increasingly Picasso-esque. :D

Aw. I don't want to see Steve become a villain and Yum Yum at his mercy. So I have come up with my own fanfic version of episode 2:

Princess yum yum keeps hinting around that she's into Beat boxing Dave.
Beat boxing Dave remains oblivious.
Beat boxing is what he does.
Passive Aggressive Steve doesn't become a villain, but instead becomes a nice NBC anchor. Challenges Beat boxing Dave to a showdown... Steve reporting the news, Dave beat boxing...
They make beautiful music together...
Steve is introduced to hard candy.

I may be too attached to your characters. I'm feeling the way I did when the arc in Battlestar Galactica didn't match what I had planned out for it. ;)

Ha ha. Well I've recorded audio for an episode that pretty much matches the first 3 lines of your suggestion, though I haven't considered the last 4 lines.

Shot for the reply. Peace

Your stuff rules! I really like the frame by frame animation look too. Can't wait to see more. I'm just beginning but I think I've already had some small successes in making my animations having a frame by frame look. I still need to learn a lot more.

Thanks. Its done @ 6 frames per second. Animating it it pretty quick, because here's only 6 frames per second to deal with and not 25. So, there ya go. I set everything to step interpolation (in TB Animate its called stop-motion keyframe) which gives the jerky look, unless I need a smooth transition between 2 keyframes, in which case I set it to smooth (or motion keyframe in TB).
