How can I use the Anime library with my own rigs and props

Hello,

I was wondering if it's possible to delete everything in the content library that comes with Anime Studio Pro and make it link to a server in our network. (All our rigs and .png resource files are on 1 computer in the network, so nobody works on their own hard-disk. Does anyone know if it's possible to force the library to look in a specific directory instead of in the Anime Studio app)

Thanks,

Lukas

In that topic you mention symbolic links.
I don't know what os you run, I'm on mac and can change the paths by using "symbolic links" so I can place me library where ever I want and just make a link to the original place. I guess there is a similar way to handle it in windows or linux?

regards
We are working on OSX, I tried making an 'alias' of our resource folder, and I've put it in the "library" folder and deleted the old stuff. It does show the resource alias as a folder in the library-window, but it doesn't show anything in it. (In the system finder the alias works just fine)

Are symbolic links the same as an alias?

Figured it out, alias is a crappy version of a symlink and that doesn't work. But a proper symlink does. Thanks!

Yes, you need to make a symlink. Glad it worked :D
