Liz shadows

Probably a noob question:
I was looking at Liz, the startup character of ASP7. On her legs I see a typical effect that is common in cartoon images: two colour levels to simulate a simple lightning effect. However I would expect the darker part of het legs to be a separate vector part with dedicated fill, but it isn't (I don't see vectors between the light and dark side of het leg). Can anyone explain me how to obtain this as I will definitely need it this common technique to create 'mainstream' cartoons.

Click on her leg with the select shape tool, now look over at the style palette and you can see the leg has a shade.

Thanx!
I only thought of this effect with a gradient shadow, but reducing the blur to 0 does the trick. But no export to SWF with this effect I guess...?

I do not think the shade will be exported as SWF. I think the legs will show no shadow but I might be mistaken. I can count on one hand how many times I have exported SWF.

now that the internet is generally faster than ever i dont think swf export is as attractive a prospect as video - you can export in HD with all effects and it streams beautifully off youtube (or your own site) - the only time i'd use swf export is if i was integrating animation directly into a website interface... *shrug*

I kind of hesitate to say this on the Anime Studio forum, but if exporting .swf format files is a regular and important aspect to your animation or working life, you should consider using Toon Boom Studio. On a number of occasions in the past I have requested better Flash export files, but there has been no improvement on this front since Moho days.
