Great shock struck me today, as i headed to the usual Anime Studio Pro folder and tried to open a ANME-file. A window popped up saying:

[Anime Studio Trial]
Anime Studio is running in trial mode.

Days left in trial: 0

And then there's a buy button- and a insert serial number button.

Why the hell did this come up just like this, all by the sudden- for no apparent reason? I don't want to buy it again! I don't just have $50 to buy something that i've already bought.

I've tried to insert my serial number i got with the package, but it says that "You have not entered a valid serial number".

Please help me! What should i do? :(

It most likely an error with the SN. Try using all caps and use the number zero and not the letter o. If caps do not work, use lower case, but again, use the number '0' zero and not the letter o.

If this does not work you can call SM and I'm sure they will get you all fixed up. You should have a copy of your receipt in you e-mail if you bought it as a download.

I've tried all caps, and all zero's with o's and virce versa. Still is invalid.

And no- i got it as a birthday present for atleast 3 years ago, in a package.

Oh and- forgot to add- It's Anime Studio Pro 5.

Ack, I have no clue to why it would do that after 3 years. Sorry I could not help.

If it was a gift, and you had the serial number from the first day, why consume the trial time up to left 0 days?
Also, after three years you open the box and install it? May be you better didn't have opened it and instead of that try to sell it to any crazy collector in eBay. After two years more, it would have become a incunabulum!

Nonono- you've got it all wrong;

On the first day i got it, i installed it- Now, three years later it says the trial is over.

Also:
I could just uninstall it and reinstall it like you said- i'll try that right away.

HAHA! EUREKA!... I guess

I went to uninstall it... But- strangely enough, it was still on my Startpanel & Program menu.

When i launched it, it started- without any "Trial has ended" window. It's working now.

..I don't know what to say- but never the less- thanks to everyone who wanted to help me, i appriciate it.

That's a nifty little bug right there.
