Face layer to camera, default camera position

Hi Guys, I have been using the old layer faces camera in Anime 7.
It's all messed up check it out.

I almost put this in feature requests, but I actually decided this is a pretty buggy feature right now, so here it goes.

Surely facing camera should make the layer nice and flat no matter what lens angle or camera distance is in affect.
Also I think the default camera position is too close and too wide and off to the right a bit perhaps. These settings used to be fine,---I think.... someone I'm sure will now tell me it hasn't changed.

But Anyhooey, surely the camera should default to a long lens zoomed in from a rather long way back to make for a reasonably flat stage-
Then we wouldn't get such huge distortion upon camera movement.

I know we can change this all at will, but I really think the close and wide isn't exactly ideal place to start.

how about something less wacky, so we don't have our layers going so crazy with distortion.

How about making layers toggle the ability to completely ignore camera distortion even though they may still be effected by camera movement.
That way they will never look like flat planes or cardboard cut-out.....we don't need or want this distortion.

just a thought......who's with me? :?:

Yes, i strongly dislike the layer facing camera feature. I can't figure out how to turn layers back to absolute 0 rotation. If you try to rotate them back, it seems impossible to get it exact. We need the ability to go back to absolute 0 rotation. Otherwise anme files can get incredibly messed up. Am I missing something?

edit: wait, are you talking about always face camera or the new feature that new layers are created relative to the camera? sorry, this may be a different issue.

I dunno Iwaxlana, I'm just going with the reverse of what I thought was right, seems to work well enough I guess.
No big deal really. :? 8)

Hey I have a half workaround for this.... sort of...
Ok group everything and move the layer, you get a better looking track.
Of course if you are intending to output as PSD images for comp then this will flatten all your layers and comp will not be possible.

Insert game show sound effect - buh-boing :?

An addition to this post, moving a group is all very good except for how it exports and also how it affects the particles inside the group.
