Lost feature in v.7?

How can I edit a path without seeing the shape and the colors?
Before, in V6, all I had to do was select a layer, and uncheck the eye icon.
The shape(s) in the layer would disappear, but the path could still be edited.
This allowed me to edit the path only.
What happened to this feature? Why was it removed in V7?

It still works for me in V7. Are you working on a vector layer inside of a switch layer by any chance?

It works in most instances, except when the layer is inserted into a group later.
Can you check on your side? Simply insert a vector layer within a group layer, select the vector layer, and uncheck the eyes icon on the vector layer.
If someone else can confirm this, I'll report it as a bug.

Yep, you're right. If it's in a group layer the shapes will stay visible. I had noticed this with switch layers, but I didn't realize it was all group layers.

You could as an alternative set your display options to wireframe mode.

Hmm, just discovered that you can edit paths without seeing the shapes by unchecking the eye icon on the group layer rather than the vector layer. (I'm working in 7.1.)
