Background Image Creation Size?

Hi all!
Does anyone have some insight or suggestions on how large to make a background?

I understand that part of it would depend on the size of your animation output, so a specific, "so many by so many pixels" answer wouldn't work, but just a generalized type of thing. A percentage of your output screen, or if you have a certain "default" size you create with would be SO helpful to us noobs...

Thanks!

Hi Mozbo,
I think it's best to use your storyboard as a guide. It should give you a good sense of how much you're zooming in, panning etc.

I generally export my BGs at NTSC D1 widescreen and HDTV 720p, but at the end i only use them as still images not for animation.
