Imported .Wav files Runtime error Rendering

Ok,
I have everything set up, characters, backgrounds movement etc. Now, if I were to import an audio clip recorded in AS pro everything works fine until I try to render the whole clip. I get a runtime error.
If I record the sound clip and import it into the project immediately there are no runtime errors.
Is this a bug that someone knows about? I tried it on both my lap top and my desktop. My desktop has 6 core AMD Black chip, Radeon HD5770 and 16 gigs of ram. I don't think it should be having this much trouble with AS pro 7.1 (I updated). Only running one tool, and I removed it and still the same problem.
Any suggestions?

Ok, well,
if anyone has experienced this problem, please let me know.
I was made aware that AS 7 has issues with badly named file extensions. So, for instance if you don't write the extension of the file like (dude_talks.wav) and you just have it as (dude_talks) then it has problems utilizing the file and it crashes. Now, for the crash problem I am having all the sounds are named .wav but its still a problem when I export the clip.
I opened up a new incident (error) report on smith micro's website and I'll write back what they have to say.
Meanwhile, Toon Boom here I come.

Ok, so here is the response they sent me.
Thank you for contacting Support. This is normally the result of your system running out of resources during the processing. Make sure the Output File Size is not exceeding 4GB. The fact you do not have an issue at shorter durations seems to verify this as being the cause.
I guess my 6 core processor and 16gigs of ram and a radeon card are not enough for tracks of audio.
Not sure if anyone else has gotten this with audio or is it just me.
I am working in the highest HD setting, but that should not be overloading my system. Its very odd.
Either way, it is what it is.

Hiya Freddy, have a look at some of the posts regarding this issue further down the bugs page, I have had many painful experiences with it, drove me nuts.
In the end I would keep the audio file until render then delete it, just to get the render; then add the sound later with an editing app. Lame, yes.
There is no solution for this as yet, (we will have to wait for the next release ....maybe) I have tried everything, including disabling cores, which worked a couple of times but not reliably so and slows the render to a crawl anyway.
I would expect the SM response is merely bullet dodging only... remember it's YOUR fault , not theirs.
Or maybe it's 'windows', another old chestnut.

Yeah, Thanks for that suggestion.
I just took the audio out and rendered the cartoon like that and then edited everything in Premier cs5. Its a pain in the ass, and I feel like they should really listen to all of the problems and make this thing a bit more stable.
I did purchase toon boom animate and I am learning that as well. I find the mixture of AS7 and Toon Boom as good work arounds for certain types of animation that I want. All in all, I am just a bit disappointed because I really like the simplicity and the physics of AS7. If they would just update it a bit more often.
Thanks for the reply's guys. I'll keep you updated if there are any news on this. For now, the sound animation will have to be taken out before the render.
