Happy Holidays to everyone. I recently bought Anime Studio Pro 7 and proceeded to make this animation using some of my pen & ink stipple artwork. I found AS to be very easy to use and I will be adding it to my tool box on a regular basis. Make sure to turn your sound on when you watch this. Here is the link:

That was delightful to watch!
How long did it take to create the stipple polar bear?
Did you do the stipple dot by dot, or use a "cluster brush?"
REALLY nice work!
Dot by Dot...

I did the original stipple in pen & ink and it took approx. 8 - 10 hours. Then it took another 6 hours or so to animate just the big polar bear. All of it was done one dot at a time except for the snowflakes. Those I did in Illustrator and then filled them with dots in Photoshop. Thank you for watching.

Wow, I was thinking about that big polar bear. I even experimented how to do it using AS. I created an style with a circular brush and paint it using several lines. Then I selected all the lines and used the curve exposure tool to reveal the dots in time. With a little work of select and offsetting you can create a very similar nice effect.
Maybe this could be interesting for you (it's a rough example, anyway)

This is a lot of fun to watch. The style is really easy to look at and draws you in. Did you create this for anything special?
Because I love to stipple...

I love to stipple, as I find it very relaxing and kind of magical when you are done. I mean all you are doing is making dots and an image appears.
