Richard, you already have a loop thread going. Please don't start a new thread for the same topic, just keep posting to your original thread.

Have you read your User Manual? The looping information should be there. It is the best way to become familar with the software if you are new...

you might find it useful to have a file sharing site like Media Fire set up so you can upload your file so we can see the problem. also state what version you are using pro or debut.you can always duplicate your movie layer as many times as you need and then shift each one in the sequncer to start 1 frame after each layer ends.

It looped just fine when I exported the AVI into Swish Max - In Max you have a panel option of stopping your movie at the end - If not it continues to loop - I was just looking for a similar loop command - The duplicate idea is good -

I just used a simple cycle loop and some basic bone commands to finish the card and I couldn't get it to loop -

I uploaded the file file at www.sonicqi.com/Ansnow.anme

If you had any further suggestions - ( Yeah - Real New to the program - )

Thanks -

Please be exact in your description of the problem. I can only guess what you really mean.

Your problem seems to be that a video file you export/render from AS doesn't loop in playback. Is that correct?

In that case it's not AS' fault. "Loop that video" is an option of a video player only. Some formats may allow to embed this into the video file, others don't. AS renders a video file without this, no matter which video file format you use.

I can open a Quicktime video in Quicktime player(on Mac), set it to loop, and save it this way. This file will open and loop instantly on my computer, or any other.

I could as well build a HTML page with an

Code: Select all

<embed>
tag inside which will set the looping parameters for any video file it shows. This is the way to do it for web pages.

You see, it all depends on where you want the file to play. No animation program or decent video editor will give you a looping option during export. It's all a matter of players, so search your player for it.
