Hope It helps. This can be aplyed to anything from a splash to a burst of stars ect. and the switch layer can be used for any effect such as fire or blood.

This is a very smart idea. I've just been using Import | Movie | Explosion but now I have a good way to make reusable explosions which will blend better with the rest of my art. :) Thanks for sharing!
