3D anaglyph-safe color palette?

Hello --
I'm a new Anime Studio user and have been experimenting with its 3D (anaglyph) features.
I noticed that certain colors give "retinal rivalry" when viewed with red/blue 3D glasses and was wondering if there is a recommended "safe color palette" to work from, where this effect does not occur.
I'm also considering experimenting with the kind of post-processing that's described here...

...where I would export everything in two passes (one for each eye), do the proper color manipulation, and then recombine to 3D. This would allow me to make a 2D version with vibrant colors but a 3D anaglyph version that's easy on the eyes.
However, I'm looking for suggestions before I attempt these things -- I don't want to reinvent the wheel if it's not required.
Thanks in advance for your help!
