Make the edge of a straight line curved?

I have a straight line that I turned into a shape withe the create shape tool, and want the edge to be curved, not straight and square.
you mean you've filled in the line and you want the end points to be rounded?
Ponymasher made a script to do this which can be found here:

otherwise - you have to create a round brush and add brush strokes to the edges but ponymasher's method is far easier and keeps everything vector based...
