Anime Studio Pro 7 - Copying & Pasting Camera Track &

OK, new issue...

I'm in the middle of a project and I'm getting a little frustrated.

I haven't had this issue in the past running an older version of Anime Studio on Windows, currently running ASP7 on Mac OS.

When I try to copy and paste a camera track or zoom keyframe from a specific frame to a later frame, i.e. I want to paste the current "Zoom" camera positioning from frame 24 to frame 48, it does not process the command at all if there's another keyframe ahead of the current position in the timeline which I'm trying to make the paste (hope that makes sense?). Let's say I have a camera "Track" keyframe at frame 24 and frame 49. I wish to keep the camera in the same position as frame 24 up until frame 49, so in order to do this, I would like to copy and paste frame 24 to frame 48, so instead of getting a gradual camera pan from frame 24 to frame 49, the camera is still up until frame 48 then does a quick transition to a new camera positioning in frame 49. Instead, I paste frame 24 to frame 48 and nothing happens.

Another problem, bare with me here... I've also noticed if I have a "Zoom" keyframe set at, let's say frame 48, and I try to alter the camera at frame 49, it takes the keyframe from frame 48, sends it 5 frames forward. I don't get what's happening here.

Both of these issues never happened running ASP5 on Windows. I can't figure out if I'm doing something different or what's happening. To be honest there's just little weird things happening here and there with keyframes jumping forward a few frames for no apparent reason, pasting keyframes as if I never copied the keyframe I'm trying to paste, etc.

This is happening with the camera "Track" and "Zoom" keyframes as far as I can see. I haven't noticed it outside of this part of the timeline. Any help would be much appreciated. Sorry if this seems a little confusing, I wish I could have explained better, but as I'm trying to recreate the issue, something else goes wrong. :(

Update:

Some new tests and clarifying the issue...

I tried doing things manually by going to "Animation" - "Copy Current Frame..." then checking the desired option, in this case camera tracking, and attempted to paste the frame to another desired frame. What happens?

In this case, I try to paste frame 241 to 312. After the process is finished, no keyframe is pasted onto the desired point in the timeline. Instead, I get a keyframe 6 frames ahead at frame 318, and it's not even the keyframe I pasted, it's off on the X, Y and Z axis. What the HELL is happening?

This is driving me crazy. :(

Holy crap...

I do not understand what is happening... OK, I installed 7.1 to see if that would fix the issue (was running on 7.0) but no luck. I tried creating a new file to see if I would have the same results and guess what... the new file works just fine... or does it?

Well, I tried performing the same action in a blank file, in the StartupFile.anme, all fine.

So, I figure, I can just start a new file, import the object I was working with and just reanimate the camera as needed. WRONG!

For some stupid reason, ANY time I import that particular Anime Studio object, the camera keyframes start acting up again. Why, I do not know, but for the life of me I need to figure things out soon as this is an assignment and I can't bare to waste any more time tampering with the damn camera. If anyone has ever had a similar issue or has any other idea as to how I might be able to fix the problem, please let me know. :(

Well, it seems there is no real solution to this problem, as I can't explain what happened for the life of me. I did fix the problem however. It seems the group layer was what was affecting the entire .anme file. As soon as I made a new group layer and placed all parts of the object into that new layer, it's like the problem never existed. Strange as hell, wish I knew what really happened, but just glad everything is working OK now.

What's funny is the old group layer is still there, the vectors and other group layers that were in it before have just been transferred to another group layer, so the fact that it exists has no affect on the animation. I checked the layer settings of the old group layer, can't see anything different about it. The "Scale compensation" option was unchecked, but when I was originally trying to fix the issue I was aware of this and tried checking the box with no luck. I don't even remember unchecking it in the first place. Regardless, I don't understand why it would affect the X, Y, and Z parameters of the Camera tool.

Was the group layer, or any other layer, moved in the sequencer? I've experienced weird stuff like that when working with layers that were shifted in time.

Possibly by mistake? Not sure what happened exactly, or what caused the issue, just happy that everything is back to normal. :P

I know this is an old post, but I battle with this issue constantly. Had it in 7, 8, and now even in 9. My only solution is to manually input the numbers for X,Y, and Z positions. I'm surprised others haven't experienced this and there's not an explanation on why it happens.
