No doubt a newbie blind spot but

How do you draw a single line segment?
How do you draw an arbitrary polygon with straight sides?
or a quarter circle?
How's about a Pac Man shape?

if you are in Debut. go to top right and check beginners mode.
Now on the left your tools are all bigger. select the "Add Point" tool and then further below there is text and a video button. I recommend watching the video. ( you may need quicktime installed) this gives quick overview. watch the "Freehand" tool video as well.
