Created first in Animation:Master then traced and enhanced in Anime Studio and VisionLab.

Really cool! The way the bike flies toward the watcher. And the sparkles - were they made within ASP?

Hi Diana,

No, the sparkles were done in VisionLab. I could've done them in AS but I just got into the habit of using VisionLab for all post effects.

I never think of myself as having a 'style'. So to get comments like yours is great and it's good to know people find the blog of interest too.

That looks great! You do have an identifiable "style", and it is a good one.
I think you have been using Visionlab for a while for compositing etc. What is your evaluation of it? I think it looks like great value for money. Is it a good alternative to After Effects?

Thanks Durand. I suppose we develop a style without realising it. VisionLab is very good but FXHome are about to release HitFilm which they employed a lot of new people to develop. It does a lot of things that After Effects can't and they've priced it cheaply (cheaper than VisionLab!) in the hope of selling lots of copies. Look at HitFilm.com

Thanks Winknotes and fracturedray. It's always good to hear people like the blog. It gets a bit of a chore to update sometimes but to know people enjoy it makes it worthwhile

Looks fantastic! Did you trace each frame from scratch or copy paste the previous shapes and tweek?

Thanks DK. I duplicated the bike from the previous frame each time so it was normally just a matter of pushing the points around a little

I checked out your blog site a little closer and I have to say it's great. Thank you for sharing your processes and expertise with all of us. As a newb to animation I greatly appreciate the time you've taken to prepare all of this.

I love your backgrounds too by the way. Something to aspire to.
