Hello Forum,
I really, really hope there is someone here who can help me. I am very new to Anime Studio Pro 8. However, things were going great, until I tried to export my animation and my character did not show up at All in the Quicktime Movie.
The props showed up just fine. But the character did not show up at all. One time he showed up and he wasn't walking. But the fact that he won't show up at all is really disturbing... I've read the manual and followed the instructions.. I never had this render problem in the DEBUT product.
As you can imagine I'm pretty upset. I spent over $100 bucks for a PRO version and can't seen to get it to render properly.. Please let me know if it's me or the software. My platform is a great iMac computer so I don't have computer issues...
Again, I had no poblems rending with Anime Debut... so Please... Please.. any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated... Thank you so much!

I am sure this is probably just a procedure error. Can you upload the .anme file so I can look at it? Also make sure the eye is showing in the layer palette before rendering or make sure it is not invisible in the layer settings.

Thanks for your post... However....

Thanks so much for your post, however, there is nothing to upload... the screen is B L A N K as the quicktime movie file... I can't believe it.
And yes, the eyes are on...
I don't know what else to do.... I'm going nuts here..

Do this, go somewhere in the time line, lets say 24 seconds, and then go to file/preview. What do you see in the render?

Try to press F5 to render a preview animation, is it showing then?

If yes, then it may have to do with your codec, in not, then maybe posting your AS file might give us a clue as to what is wrong, as we will certainly have a look at it!

The character is in the render but he wont show....

Well, the character shows in the File, Preview/Render area, but he won't show up in the final export animation "movie" after the render..
:(

GCharb... how do I post the file for you? and where?

GCharb,

I don't know how to post the file here. I'm new to this forum thingy.
And Yes, I did the preview/render thing. He shows up in the render, but when I do export the animation to make it into a movie... I get a BLANK screen... there is nothing in the movie at all... Nothing...

:( :(

?? Is it something I'm not doing ......

Is it something I'm NOT doing right with regard to the characters Layer settings??
This is really driving me CRAZY.. :( :(

I meant a video preview, by pressing F5, not just an image.

If the video preview works, then it is probably not your file per say, but maybe a codec problem!

Ummm...

Okay, well umm.. How should I go about fixing a codec problem...
I can't believe that I'm having this problem in ASPro. Unbelievable... I'm so upset... I was up all night working on an animation and now this...

???

If it's a codec problem it's not related directly to AS. Can you send me the file to my e-mail to check it?

Again, have you tried F5 and rendered an actual preview movie?

I am asking because it is not clear, at least not to me, if you did, and if you did, did the animation render correctly?

If it did, then have you tried to render to avi, or mov or flash or image sequence?

I just rendered this with v8 and it rendered no problem, so I doubt it is ASP the problem!

Have you tried rebooting?

You have a Mac or PC, if PC, which Windows you got?

Could be a number of things, just post the file to skydrive, or mediafire or any other online file repository, so we can help you here.

Okay

Okay GCharb.. I will reboot my computer and see if that's it... I will try to send you the file... Look for an email from GingerGirlGail.
I can't imagine why I can render just fine in Anime Debut, but not in Anime PRO.. This is Crazy.... I'll send the file in a few minutes...
Thanks again... I really hope you guys can help me...

Your problem is that your character is out of the scene frame!

Only the drawings inside the blue frame will be rendered.

Select your character, press 1 on your keyboard and drag the character inside the blue frame, then render.

Ok, I have your file. Your animation is a guy crossing from one side of the screen to the other, right?
It seems to be you animated your scene inside "walk" action. So, when you are in mainline, the character is completely quiet and out of the screen.
Is mainline what you are rendering (and mainline have a guy out off the screen, completely quiet). So, to solve it, you must insert your walk action on the Mainline. To do that, open the actions window, and give double click to "mainline". Now, got to frame 1, select the switch layer "Man", click "walk" action and "insert as copy" (a button on the actions window).
Ok, now you have the animation in the mainline. Render it and everything will be ok.

PD: sorry, crossed post
