Hi there,
Does anyone know how to convert an mp3 file to the supported audio formats without getting the annoying "The selected audio file is not supported."?
It seems that ASP is just rejecting any audio file I try to get in it.
Is there a specific bitrate, size, or something?

I usually use mp3 at 44100 or 4800 hz at 192 or 320 kbs.

I almost always had to write them out as .wav files to get them to work

I've already tried with .wav, .mp3, .au, switched settings like bitrate, quality, stereo/mono.
The original audio file comes in a mp3, that i converted into several other formats using every format changing software out there. I even put the file into audacity and exported as a .wav file, but I keep getting that error.

Why dont you upload a clip to one of the free filesharing sites. Someone will try to use it.

Have you tried importing it into Audacity and then exporting it as a .wav file?

AS is picky with imported items and their names. Check if there's any non-7-bit-ASCII character in it. (Like äöißÄÖÜé and so on)

When you export .wav, do you set it to PCM?
Here is a file of mine with sound, works perfect.
48000hz in pcm format

There's something I didn't knew! But the name is just actually "Audio". Thanks.
PCM is set. Nice animation BTW!

I thought GCharb's PCM tip would work because that's what Maya requires for wave files.

Update [16/09/2011]
I was ordered (by the song author) to remove the link. It's okay, I got it to work now.
So, nothing actually worked.
Here is the original audio file.
[Here used to be a link]
If you can get it to work, let me know.
Thank you all!
