dreeko.. you are the man (i think...possibly a woman?) where was I ? oh yeah...
I thought this was one of your best. loved the gag with the phone. lol

I tell you, I dont know how technical you have to get using muvizu to build scenes and move characters, but if anyone is on these forums is only animating but they would prefer to be writting and directing and not pouring over keyframes on ASP... then muvizu has to be for them...

I think it looks awsome, and probably the only reason I am setting up bootcamp ;)

great stuff..

It is awesome. I could make one of these cartoons every day if I wanted to!
The speed of production is phenomenal!

Hey dreeko... Just announced
http://www.gadgetsandgizmos.org/unreal- ... -platform/

Any plans for your friends to start porting to Mac natively?

If they are looking to charge for commercial usage then Mac is as good a platform to invest in as any... lot of movie directors on it ;)

These work really well. I did have a play with that software a while back. I think it was on a coverdisc or something, and it was great fun.

Dreeko, I visit the muvizu site on a regular basis, and your stuff is the best of the best. But for me, muvizu has three serious drawbacks:

1) You have to accept pre-configured moves. These are all pretty good, but there is always an occasion when you want something different, which you can't have
2) The moves are unremittingly cartoony. I love cartoony moves, but there are, too, occasions when you don't want this. Putting together a gritty drama, for example, is subverted by the upbeat nature of the moves at your disposal
3) Apart from a few (pre-ordained) musical instruments, any character can not hold any object, pick anything up or put anything down. This is a serious setback when telling a story.

So I am full of admiration for the way you can get round these drawbacks, but I will wait for future upgrades, I think. (Sorry if this hijacks your thread).

Jahnocli,

All the problems you have with Muvizu are problems that I too share. I enjoy finding a way round them whenever possible but that does not change the fact that the problems still remain (at the moment!).

The pre-configured moves are cartoony and more subtle ones would be a godsend in many cases. I usually confine myself to minimal body movements and try and convey things through the head and eyes animation which is totally controllable by the the user.

The ability for characters to hold/pick up objects is something which (so they tell us) is being worked on by the devs along with all the other features that myself and others (including yourself too I would imagine!) have suggested on the forum. It amazes me how much the Muvizu team listen to and implement the ideas from users.

Thanks for your kind words for my Muvizu videos I will continue to post them here for others to view and comment on. I know some may wonder why I post them here on the Anime studio forum but I feel there will be a point when the Muvizu and Anime studio features reach a point where the similarities will have users using the two of them together to make something really special.

Cheers
